Ranching *

At Lyman Ohana Ranch, our ranching operations are built on strong bloodlines, responsible land stewardship, and practical, working partnerships. We focus on developing high-quality cattle while providing services that support Hawaiʻi’s growing agricultural community.

Our Cattle Program

Brangus × Akaushi Crossbreeding
Our program focuses on combining the adaptability and resilience of Brangus with the premium meat quality of Akaushi (Wagyu).

  • Heat-tolerant, pasture-efficient genetics

  • Strong maternal traits

  • Enhanced marbling and beef quality

This cross allows us to produce cattle well-suited for Hawaiʻi’s environment while meeting the demand for high-end beef.

Wean-Off Sales

We specialize in producing Hawaiʻi-born, pasture-raised weaned calves.

  • Sold at optimal weaning age (~400 lbs target)

  • 45+ day weaning process for reduced stress

  • Consistent genetics and herd management practices

Our goal is to supply healthy, well-started cattle ready for finishing or further development.
